In this step-by-step tutorial you will learn the basics of using CoBrowser.net Live Chat as an agent.

Sing in
Enter client.cobrowser.net in the address bar of your web browser. We recommend to make a bookmark/favorite of this location for future use.
A sign in form appears where you need to enter your username and password. If you can't login use the link Forgot your password? or Need Help? for assistance.
After you successfully signed in you will enter the CoBrowser.net Live Chat interface as shown in the screen shot below:

Receive chats
To be able to receive chats you have to be on line. To go on line press the Offline/Online button in the up right corner. Visitors on your website will now be able to see and click the chat button. In case a visitor clicks the button you will hear a ringing sound and the chat will start.
Active chat conversations appear in the Conversations panel. You can do multiple chats at the same time. The amount of simultaneous chats depends on the number of slots you have. In the above example there are 4 slots and 1 is in use by an active chat. This means that there are 3 slots left at this moment to receive additional chats.
To close a finished chat, just click the cross button of the chat.
Do not forget to close your chats, because otherwise it will fill up your slots and you won't be able to receive new chats.
Invite a visitor for a chat
You can also invite visitors to chat with you. Double-click on one of your visitors in the Visitor list and the visitor. The visitor now appears in your Conversation list. The visitor still has to be invited to start the chat. You can do by submitting the invitation text. You can change this standard text if you wish. After you invited, the visitor receives your invitation for a chat. The visitor can accept or reject your invitation. After the visitor accepts the invitation you can have a chat conversation as described above.
Cobrowsing
During a chat you can see information of the visitor. The first tab shows the visitor's screen. You can see what is on the screen of the visitor.
In the other tabs you can collect visitor information and see navigation behavior.
If you have configured Canned responses you can use these for giving standard answers in your chat conversation. Setting up canned responses can be done in the Admin panel of the account. Read more about this in the article Canned responses setup.
Go off line
If you want to go off line, click the Online button in the upright corner to go off line. Once off line you can still finish your unfinished chat conversations. However you won't receive any new chats.
Log out
To log out from CoBrowser.net click the Signed in as button and choose the option Log out.
